Home Opener Schedule Change
The Casper Drillers have cancelled their trip to Milward Simpson Field for the Cubs home opener on Sunday. The Cubs were originally scheduled to play Casper at 11:00 and the Billings Halos at 3:00 and the Cub`s will now play a doubler header with the Billings Halos beginning at 11:00 AM with the second game beginning a half hour or so after the end of the first game. Plan to come on out and supprt the Cubs!

2012 Dinner-Dance-Auction Results
Cody Baseball`s big event of the year was again a great success. The event, which benefits the Cody Cubs, Cody Babe Ruth Baseball, and Cody Youth Baseball, was held Friday, April 20th at the Double Doc Ranch. Granny`s once again generously donated food, time, and talent in providing spaghetti for over a record 500 attendees.

There were two raffle drawings for the Cubs the night of the Dinner Dance Auction. The Samsung TV was won by Laura Sudnagis and the Weatherby Orion shotgun was won by Clint Merritt. The Cubs will still be selling raffle tickets for the I Pod and Kindle Fire throughout the season.

2012 Schedule Change
The venue for the conference games with Riverton will be switched from the original schedule this season. The Cubs will now be traveling to Riverton on May 29th and will be at home on July 11th. The Cubs will now be staying overnight in Riverton after the game on May 29th and traveling on to Montrose Colorado from Riverton on May 30th.

15 Players on Roster for 2012 Season
A total of 15 players will be playing for the Cubs this season. Returning players include Brent Brey, Taylor Hubbell, Cody Klass, Shad Moir, Conor Webster, Nate Welch, and Walker Williams. New players this season include John Beaudrie, Trey Blough, Brock Goodwin, Cap McClure, Taylor Newman, Kevin Page, Seth Roberts, and Nick Schmidt. The Cubs will travel to Laurel on May 5th and host their home opener on May 6th with games against Casper and Billings.

Help Support the Cubs! - Raffle Tickets for Sale
Cody American Legion Baseball is still selling raffle tickets for an 8gb iPod Touch and a Kindle Reader that will be drawn for at the last home game of the season against Powell. Tickets for each raffle are priced at $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. The Cubs will be selling the raffle tickets along with Season Passes and Hitter Club Memberships to aid in raising their money for the upcoming season.        

Annual Meeting and Elections Held
Cody Cubs Baseball held its annual meeting on September 8th, 2011. Katie McClure was elected to the board for a three year term. Katie is joined by returning board members Donny Anderson, Jeff Davis, Frank Schmidt, and Steve Webster. The Board would like to thank retiring board members Kent Nelson and Sylvia Roblyer for all their help over the years. Anyone interested in being a Cody American Legion Baseball Board Member please contact a member of the existing board.        

Elections were held for 2011 officer positions at the October 6th meeting. Officers for the 2011 season will be President Donny Anderson, Vice President Katie McClure, Secretary Jeff Davis, and Treasurer Steve Webster.
